Movie Details Of Delhi Belly
Music: Ram Sampath
Label: UTV Music
Director: Abhinay Deo
Imran Khan hasn't had a movie in nearly two years now. Even without a comparison with his illustrious uncle, it is safe to say that Khan hasn't had much success as an actor. One thing he has been lucky with though, is the music in his films – man's been part of quite a few good songs from some of the industry's best composers. The most hatke soundtrack in his career (thus far) happened in the most madcap film he has acted in, namely, Delhi Belly.
The movie won critical acclaim for its irreverent humour, helped on its way by the rollicking multi-genred mix of songs from Ram Sampath and a bevy of lyricists that included the movie's writer Akshat Verma. Highlighted of course by Bhaag DK Bose that perfectly captured the movie's tone and pace.
Best Song of Delhi Belly: I have written about this song in the past too on FC; my favourite from Delhi Belly will always remain Saigal Blues for its ingenious setting of Chetan Shashital's retro-styled singing to a trippy blues-inspired backdrop.
PS: It is weird that the soundtrack hasn't been made available by T-Series on any streaming platform.
