Here’s a recap of the significant stories in entertainment across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, and sometimes the odd television series as well.

First look of Satya Dev-starrer Full Bottle is out (Telugu)

Billed to be a black comedy thriller, the film will see Satya Dev’s character Mercury Soori play an alcoholic auto rickshaw driver who gets involved in a crime. The poster gives us a glimpse into the quirky world of the film.

Written and directed by Sharan Koppisetty, the film co-stars Brahmaji, Subbaraju, and Sai Kumar.

Gatta Kusthi Posters Featuring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vishnu Vishal out (Tamil) 

First-look posters from Gatta kusthi featuring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vishnu Vishal were released recently. While Vishnu Vishal is decked in a sports look playing mud wrestling on the ground in the first poster, the second poster features the actor and Aishwarya as a married couple. The film will be released in Telugu as Matti Kusthi.

Helmed by Chella Ayyavu, the film is produced by Vishu Vishal and Ravi Teja under Vishnu Vishal Studioz and RT Teamworks. While Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer, Prasanna GK has handled the editing. Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music for the film. 

Roshan Mathew‘s Character Poster from Neelavelicham Revealed (Malayalam)

Based on Vaikom Muhammad Basheer’s short story of the same name, Neelavelicham is the remake of Bhargavi Nilayalam (1964). The poster features Roshan Mathew sitting on the porch with tea in his hand. 

Helmed by Aashiq Abu, the film co-stars Tovino Thomas, Rima Kallingal, Shine Tom Chacko and Rajesh Madhavan.

Trailer of Ranjith Sankar's Four Years out (Malayalam)

Priya Varrier and Sarjano Khalid starrer, Four Years is a campus love story. The film takes one on a nostalgic trip to the joys of college life. The film follows the love story of Gayathi and Vishal. 

Written and directed by Ranjith Sankar, the film is produced by Dreams n' Beyond.

Anjali Menon’s Wonder Women gets a trailer and release date (Malayalam)

The film's trailer gives us a glimpse of different pregnant women from different walks of life coming together for a prenatal class. The story is a celebration of their journey and friendship. The film is slated to be released on November 18 on Sony Liv.

Written and directed by Anjali Menon, the film stars Nadiya Moidu, Nithya Menen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Padmapriya, Sayanora Phillip, Archana Padmini and Amruta Subhash in prominent roles.

Nivin Pauly's Thaaram goes on floors (Malayalam)

Helmed by Vinay Govind of Kili Poyi (2013) and Kohinoor (2015) fame, Thaaram is billed to be a romantic comedy. The Malayalam film industry is said to have an important element in the film. The editing has been handled by Arju Benn, while Pradeesh M Varma is the cinematographer. 

Aishwarya Rajesh’s next titled Manik (Tamil)

Billed to be a psychological thriller, Manik is a Tamil-Hindi bilingual. Helmed by Samrat Chakraborty, the film is produced by Endemol Shine India with Nutmeg Productions, and also co-stars Samyuktha Shanmuganathan, Vivek Prasanna, Sai Janani and Svar Kamble. The film will go on floors next month. 

Hit 2 Teaser Out (Telugu)

Set in Visakhapatnam, the film follows a laid back police officer who works in the Homicide Investigation Team. The trailer introduces us to the gritty sombre world of Hit 2. The sequel to the hit first installment is slated to be released on December 2. 

Written and directed By Dr. Sailesh Kolanu. The film stars Adivi Sesh, Meenakshi, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali, Komalee Prasad, Srinath Maganti, and Srikanth Iyengar.

For Regn gets a Release Date (Kannada)

Pruthvi Ambaar and Milana Nagaraj starrer For Regn follows the journey of Ashu and Anvi. The romantic comedy is slated to be released on February 10. 

Helmed by Naveen Dwaranath, the film also stars Ravishankar, Babu Hiraniah, Sudharani, Sudha Belawadi, Aravind Bolar, Ramesh Bhat, Sihikahi Chandru, Tabla Nani and Raghu Ramappa.

Dhananjaya to start shooting for Uttarakaanda (Kannada)

Billed as a gangster film, Uttarakaanda reunites director Rohit Padaki and actor Dhananjaya. The film's tagline reads, “The MEGA TALE of the Gangsters from the Lands of the North”.

Andrea starrer Anel Meley Pani Thuli trailer out (Tamil)

Anel Meley Pani Thuli follows the story of a rape survivor trying to seek justice. The film also explores how society scrutinises the personal life of survivors, who are often persuaded to drop cases and move ahead in life. This hard hitting film will be premiered on November 18 on Sony Liv.

Helmed by R Kaiser Anand, the film stars Andrea Jeremiah, Aadhav Kannadhasan, Azhagam Perumal, Ilavarasu, Anupama Kumar, and Lovelyn Chandrasekhar. Produced by Vetri Maaran, the music for the film has been scored by Santhosh Narayanan.

Insecure to be released on November 11 (Telugu)

The suspense thriller is slated to have a grand theatrical release on November 11. Written, directed and produced by Sathyanarayana Ekari, the film stars Abhinava Krishna, Ameenksha Pawar, Pragya Nayan, and Sonakshi Varma in prominent roles.
