Vikrant Rona (Kannada)

When: 28 July 

Set in a strange fantasy village, this pan-Indian 3D film stars Kiccha Sudeep as Vikrant Rona, a brave police officer. Directed by Anup Bhandari, the film traces a myth-like story of the village and the return of a devil, as several unexplainable events unfold. It also stars Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The Legend (Tamil)

When: 28 July 

Marking the debut of Legend Saravanan, the film traces the story of a scientist who works for the betterment of his homeland and its people. However, he has to either let go of his global recognition or fight his enemies to save the day. Helmed by JD – Jerry, The Legend co-stars  Urvashi Rautela, Geethika, Vivek, Nasser, Prabhu, Vijayakumar, and Yogi Babu. 

Ek Villain Returns (Hindi)

When: 29 July 

Starring John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria, Ek Villain Returns marks the entry of another serial killer, who takes up the same cover as the dangerous villain Rakesh Mahadkar in Ek Villain, in a smiley mask. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is about two men in a one-sided romance. While one takes the hero route, the other becomes the villain. 

Ramarao On Duty (Telugu)

When: 29 July 

Ravi Teja plays Ramarao who bends the rules and fulfills his duty based on his morals and virtue. When several people who worked on operation 'Mayam' go missing, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Also starring Divyasha Kaushik, Rajisha Vijayan, Venu Thottempudi, and Nasser, the film is directed by Sarath Mandava. 

Paappan (Malayalam)

When: 29 July 

When a psychopath is on the loose, an ex-cop Abraham Mathew Mathan aka Paappan joins forces with Kerala Police to nab the criminal. The investigative thriller is directed by Joshiy and stars Suresh Gopi, Gokul Suresh, Vijaya Raghavan, Neetha Pillai, and Nyla Usha.

Gulu Gulu (Tamil)

When: 29 July 

Santhanam-starrer Gulu Gulu is a comedy-drama tracing the trials and tribulations of two gangsters, a gang of amusing kidnappers, and a group of friends, whose journeys are somehow connected. The film is a Santhosh Narayanan musical and is directed by Rathna Kumar. 

Antarjal (Bengali)

When: 29 July 

When Lahari Mukherjee's husband Apurba goes missing on their first marriage anniversary, her happy life as a successful author turns upside down. It stars Koushani Mukherjee and Bonny Sengupta. 

A Holy Conspiracy (English)

When: 29 July 

When a science teacher denies teaching a book of religion before his usual science class, it turns into a science vs religion issue, which gets him arrested. And Naseeruddin Shah and the late Soumitra Chattopadhyay fight it out in court. Directed by Saibal Mitra, A Holy Conspiracy has been screened at many prestigious film festivals. 

Tu Star Chhe (Gujarati)

When: 29 July 

Tu Star Chhe directed by Dr KR Devmani is an inspiring story based on true events. Starring Bhushan Bhatt, Kamlesh Parmar, Denisha Ghumrah, and Hitesh Thakkar, the film traces the life of a man who develops a complex, when the people around him mock up.

Battery (Tamil)

When: 29 July 

When a cop is kidnapped and murdered, and the case seems to fall into a pattern of murders, SI Pugazh tries to connect the dots and nab the criminal. But there seems to be a bigger mystery behind these deaths. Directed by Mani Bharathi, the film stars Senguttuvan and Ammu Abhirami in lead roles.  

Rakkam (Kannada)

When: 29 July 

Helmed by K Sendil, Rakkam is an action entertainer starring Ranadheera Gowda and Amrutha Nair. 

Timepass 3 (Marathi)

When: 29 July 

Timepass 3 is the third installment of the Timepass franchise, which comically traces the love life of Dagdu. The third part has Prathamesh Parab reprising the role of Dagdu and Hruta Durgule playing his new love interest Palavi Dinkar, who is the daughter of a rowdy.  

Jothi (Tamil)

When: 29 July 

AV Krishna Paramatma's Jothi stars Vetri Sudley and Sheela Rajkumar in important roles. It follows the journey of Arul Jothi, whose unborn child is dislodged and abducted from her womb mysteriously. Presented with a strange case, will a cop be able to solve it?
