Cobra Second Look: Vikram Might Just Have A ‘Beautiful Mind’ In Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Cobra

The poster does not however give an update on possible release dates next year

On Christmas day, the team behind Vikram's upcoming thriller Cobra came out with a second poster from the film close to 10 months after releasing its first look. Incidentally, the actor also completed 30 years in the business early this year.

In the second look, we see Vikram in purple hues with one half of his head dissolving into numbers, hinting that he could be playing a brilliant mathematician in the film. "Every problem has a mathematical solution," reads a caption on top.  His long hair look, from the previous poster, continues into this poster as well. While one side of the face gets the mathematician look (with glasses an more), his right side shows veins popping, which might mean that this man is as much brains as brawn.

The second look might remind some viewers of the main poster of Vikram's Iru Mugan, although it is only incidental. The first look of the film featured Vikram looking at a mirror as various reflections (Vikram in different costumes) stares back at him. It was also revealed that the actor, known for his costumes and multiple looks in each film, would play at least seven different characters in the film.

Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu (DeMonte ColonyImaikka Nodigal) the film's music is being scored by AR Rahman. In June, the team also released the film's first single 'Thumbi Thullal', sung by Shreya Ghoshal and the song has touched 11 million views on Youtube.

The film's heroine is Srinidhi Shetty who played the female lead in KGF: Chapter 1. Irfan Pathan too is playing an important role in the film apart from KS Ravikumar, Miya, Kaniha, Padmapriya and Roshan Mathew.

It is being shot by Harish Kannan and edited by Bhuvan Srinivasan.
