In the age of the Coronavirus quarantine, lockdown and self-isolation, many more of us are relying on streaming platforms in search of distraction, escape or just plain entertainment. With a new month comes new possibilities, talent, collaborations and shiny new releases for us to get lost in. 

From the latest season of Mindy Kaling's coming-of-age series Never Have I Ever on Netflix, to Farhan Akhtar-starrer Toofaan, and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Malik on Amazon Prime Video, here is a list of what's releasing this month across platforms.

Haseen Dillruba

Never Have I Ever: Season 2

When: July 21st 

The show goes on a mission to prove that persona is more crucial than physicality, when it comes to matters of attraction. Elaborate Hollywood prosthetics are used to disguise love-seekers to enable them to choose personality over looks. 

The Last Letter From Your Lover 

When: July 23rd

A pair of interwoven stories, set in the past and present, follow an ambitious journalist determined to solve the mystery of a forbidden love affair at the center of a trove of secret love letters from 1965. 

Feels Like Ishq 

When: July 23rd 

An anthology starring the likes of Rohit Saraf, Radhika Madan and Tanya Maniktala, the film revolves around six different love stories that celebrate the feeling of first love and matters of the heart.

Amazon Prime Video

The Tomorrow War 

When: July 2nd 

A family man is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront the past. 

Sara's 

When: July 5th 

Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph of Ohm Shanthi Oshaana fame, the film stars Anna Ben in the titular role along with Sunny Wayne.

Malik

When: July 15th 

The Mahesh Narayanan film, starring Fahadh Faasil, is a political crime drama revolving around the life of a man who gains prominence through his fight against corruption in his village.

Toofaan 

When: July 16th 

Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a local goon-turned-boxer in this film based on the rise, fall and comeback of a once-celebrated sportsman.

Making The Cut: Season 2 

When: July 16th 

It's a fashion competition series hosted by Heidi Klum & Tim Gunn. The show features 10 talented entrepreneurs and designers from around the world, who are ready to take their emerging brands to the next level and become the newest global phenomenon. 

Jolt 

When: July 23rd 

The film, starring Kate Beckinsale, revolves around a bouncer with a slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest. After the first guy she's ever fallen for is murdered, she goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer, while the cops pursue her as their chief suspect.

Monsters At Work

It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters Inc., and discovers that scaring is out, and laughter is in. 

Collar Bomb 

When: July 9th 

A glorified cop's life is thrown into chaos as he is forced to commit a series of crimes before a suicide bomber blows up a school. As he races against time, he's confronted by an evil which is hell bent on striking raw, primal terror.

Hungama 2 

When: July 23rd 

Priyadarshan returns with a sequel of the 2003 hit Hungama. The comedy stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Ashutosh Rana. 

The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse 

When: July 28th 

Mickey and his best pals – Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto – embark on their greatest adventures yet, navigating the curve-balls of a wild and zany world where the magic of Disney makes the impossible possible.

Catfish: Season 8 

When: July 16th 

Season 8 of the series captures the journey of folks who coupled up during the coronavirus pandemic, finally getting to test their love offline.

State Of Siege: Temple Attack 

When: July 9th 

Akshaye Khanna makes his digital debut as an National Security Guard (NSG) commando in the crime thriller directed by Ken Ghosh.

The social comedy, directed by Devanshu Singh of Chintu Ka Birthday fame and written by Manoj Kalwani, stars Vikrant Massey, Kriti Kharbanda, Gauhar Khan, amongst others.
