Celebrating Allu Arjun's birthday (tomorrow), the makers of the crime film Pushpa have released a glimpse of the much-awaited sequel. The video that runs over three minutes plays like a mini film on the hunt for Pushpa, who has escaped from a prison in Tirupati. "But there was a shootout and he escaped with multiple wounds," the police tell the media.

They organise a manhunt in the forests to search for Pushpa and find a heavily bloodied shirt with 8 bullet holes. They announce that he is dead, and it leads to multiple riots and contradicting opinions on Pushpa.

But Pushpa is Pushpa for a reason: even eight bullets couldn't stop him and footage from a hidden camera in the forest reveals that he is alive, as he is seen crossing paths with a tiger. "If animals take two steps back, it means that the tiger has come. But if a tiger itself takes two steps back, it means Pushpa has come," a voiceover announces his mass arrival. And yes, Pushpa: The Rule begins.

The sequel is written and directed by Sukumar and also has Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles from the original. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
