With Brahmastra having been planned as a three-part series, there are rumours circulating about the second part even before the first installment, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has been released. A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone could join the Brahmastra cast in the sequel.
"No doubt, it will be a casting coup if Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh are in one film! However, it will be important to maintain that each have integral parts. As for their roles, Alia and Ranbir will be seen as their respective characters from Part 1, and will have stories that run parallel to each other," said a source, according to an IANS report.
Director Ayan Mukherji has conceived of Brahmastra as "a big ticket franchise", said the source and added that there may be cameos at the end of the film, just like in the end credits of Marvel movies.
Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva is a three-part film franchise and the beginning of India's first original universe, the Astraverse starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
