Hombale Films, which produced 2018's Kannada blockbuster KGF: Chapter 1, starring 'Rocking Star' Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel, announced their new project at exactly 2:09 PM today.

Titled 'Salaar', the film stars Prabhas, in what's his third big film announcement during the lockdown. This update is further proof of his country-wide reach and demand for him in the market, even in times of such uncertainty.

'The Most Violent Men…Called One Man…The Most Violent," reads the tagline on the poster. In a poster featuring various shades of grey, Prabhas can be seen sitting down with a big rifle to his left. The names of Vijay Kirangadur and Prashanth Neel also feature in the poster.

In July, on Sanjay Dutt's 61st birthday, the  Hombale Films had unveiled a character poster and the look of what is reported to be KGF: Chapter 2's main villain. "Adheera- Inspired By The Brutal Ways Of The Vikings" said various tweets sharing the look.

KGF: Chapter 1 was among the biggest hits of the year. The sequel to the film is being released in as many as five languages, with the Hindi version being distributed by Excel Pictures.

Despite the lockdown, this massive project joins several Telugu films such as Nag Ashwin's untitled project, starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. Prabhas's Radhey Shyam too is another biggie that will release next year.

Koratala Siva's upcoming project with the Allu Arjun (titled AA21 for now), by the looks of the poster and news, may just be another grand-scale film like his last film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. SS Rajamouli's RRR, which is currently under production, is also another big film that will release once theatres open in full strength.
