Basil Joseph is gearing up for the release of his next film as a leading man with Falimy (2023). As the playful title suggests, this film revolves around the exploits of an unconventional family that embarks on a journey that forces them to reckon with their simmering tensions to solve the obstacles. The team released a trailer that frames the film as a dysfunctional family drama that focuses on four primary characters, who find it hard to travel in each other’s companies as difficult challenges are thrown their way. The road movie is framed as a family’s bickering journey to Varanasi and is directed by debutant Nithish Sahadev based on a script he co-wrote with Sanjo Joseph.
Falimy stars Jagadeesh, Manju Pillai and Sandeep Pradeep in the major supporting roles. Bablu Aju has cranked the camera for the film, while Vishnu Vijay has composed the music and original score. It is bankrolled by Cheers Entertainment known for backing blockbuster hits like Jan.E.Man (2021) and Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022), both of which also featured Basil Joseph in the lead role. Famliy is all set to hit the screens on November 17.
