Actor Mahesh Babu is all set to return to the big screens after 2022’s Sarakaru Vaari Paata in the much-awaited commercial entertainer Guntur Kaaram. The makers recently released the trailer as the film gears up for its grand release on January 12. The trailer opens with a press conference which sees the character played by Ramya Krishnan being accused of abandoning her elder son and making him an orphan. The son is revealed to be Mahesh Babu.

Babu enters the screens in his car running over a sea of sun-dried chillies, true to his character of a hot-headed ruffian. He has a sidekick in the form of Vennela Kishore and also begins to hit on Sreeleela’s character, who plays a bubbly and cheerful girl yet again. Babu is nonchalant and easily angered, bashing up goons without remorse. He also seems to have unresolved anger against Prakash Raj’s character as well as issues with his mother Ramya Krishnan. The trailer ends with an emotional moment where he expresses his abandonment issues.

Guntur Kaaram is written and directed by Trivikram who reunites with Mahesh Babu for the third time after Athadu and Khaleja. It is backed by Harrika & Hassine Creations and also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Rao Ramesh. Thaman S has handled the music while Manoj Paramahamsa and Naveen Nooli have handled the cinematography and editing respectively.
