At the recent Front Row session with the team of Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut film Madgaon Express, Nora Fatehi who plays a pivotal role in the film opened up about how it took her several years to be recognized as an actor despite working in various projects in the past.

“It's so crazy because I feel like 90% of the people in this room don’t know that I started acting when I came to India, Fatehi spoke to Suchin during the Film Companion Front Row. “In 2014, my first film came out where I played a commando and the film is called Roar: Tiger of the Sundarbans and it was film of just all newcomers which Kamal Sandaana directed and that was actually my first journey into acting in Hindi cinema,” she said

Fatehi further continued, “I followed it up with two other films, one was a film called My Birthday Song with Sanjay Suri another one was a comedy film which Prakash Jha had produced so I was acting. It's just that nobody cared. I don't blame them because the films didn’t do well and it was just not my time.”

Fatehi has previously worked in films like Batla House (2019), Street Dancer 3D (2020) and Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021). Madgaon Express is written and directed by Kemmu and also stars an ensemble featuring Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment, the film is running in theatres.
