Raghava Lawrence's Chandramukhi 2 Postponed, Gets A New Release Date

The much-awaited Chandramukhi 2 starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut was initially scheduled to be released on September 15. Due to some technical delays, the makers have postponed its release and announced a new release date. The film will now hit the screens on September 28. 

The makers posted a new promo with the new release date and tweeted, "Chandramukhi-2 release date has been pushed to September 28 due to technical delays. Vettaiyan & Chandramukhi will be back fiercer than ever. See you at the theatres with an extra special treat". 

Directed by P Vasu, the film is a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster horror comedy, Chandramukhi starring Rajinikanth. The sequel is produced by Subaskaran under his banner, Lyca Productions. MM Keeravani has scored the music. RD Rajasekhar has handled the cinematography, while Anthony has spearheaded the editing department. 

The film stars Raghava Lawrence in a dual role, as Vettaiyan Raja and Saravanan and Kangana Ranaut as the titular character, Chandramukhi. The film co-stars Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar and Rao Ramesh, among others. The film is slated to be released in Tamil and Telugu languages.
