Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran Starrer Paradise to Premiere at Busan International Film Festival

Paradise, starring Malayalam actors Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran, will premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 7. Paradise is also in contention for the Kim Jiseok Award which is given to the most attractive films that reflect the contemporary standing of Asian cinema in accordance with the late Kim Jiseok's intent.

The film is directed by Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage, produced by Newton Cinemas and presented by Mani Ratnam under the banner of his production company, Madras Talkies. Sri Lankan actors Mahendra Perera and Shyam Fernando are also a part of the film's cast.

Paradise is set amidst the 2022 Sri Lankan political crisis. The film tells the story of a young Malayali couple whose trip to the island nation turns into a nightmare as unforeseen events unfold. Their relationship is put to the test, exposing hidden tensions.

The film's screenplay is written by Prasanna and Anushka Senanayake, with cinematography by Rajeev Ravi. A. Sreekar Prasad has edited the film, which has music composed by K (Krishna Kumar).

The 28th Busan International Film Festival will take place from October 4 to October 13 at the Busan Cinema Center in South Korea. 269 films will be presented, including 209 officially invited films from 69 nations.
