Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated film Jawan has been passed with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The CBFC however, asked for seven changes to be made before issuing the certificate.
The makers were asked to shorten the length of visuals depicting a suicide. The visuals of a beheaded body were asked to be removed. A reference to the Honourable President of India was asked to be changed to Head Of State. In addition to modifying a few other dialogues, a reference to the NSG was also removed and replaced with the term IISG. Once the changes were carried out, the CBFC granted the film a U/A certificate.
Jawan is directed by Atlee and stars Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in the central roles. The film has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone and its supporting cast includes actors Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra and others. The film will release theatrically on September 7.
