Tovino Thomas has been busy with a handful of projects in the pipeline, in various stages of production. The actor will be next playing the lead role in Identity, which will see him collaborating again with the directing team Akhil Paul and Anas Khan behind his thriller flick Forensic (2020). The film which has been in production for some time now, had Tovino officially join the sets recently. Sharing this news with a video, Tovino noted, “ Joining the sets of #IDENTITY After Forensic. Back on the Team with Old Friends and New Ones! Get..set..GO !!!” Trisha Krishnan will be playing the female lead in the film.
The film co-stars Mandira Bedi, Vinay Rai, Shammy Thilakan, Aju Varghese, Arjun Radhakrishnan and Archana Kavi. The expansive thriller will be shot in locations including Rajasthan, Coimbatore, Kochi, Mumbai and Kashmir among others. The project is bankrolled by Century Films and Ragam Movies and will be dubbed in multiple languages. Akhil George is the cinematographer, while the action sequences are being composed by stunt choreographers from various industries. The film will be released in the second half of 2024.
