After the blockbuster success of Hridayam, Vineeth Srinivasan dons his director hat to make a meta film about two youngsters who try to make it big in cinema. Titled Varshangalkku Shesham, the film stars Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Kalyani Priyadarsan, Aju Varghese and Y G Mahendran, with an extended cameo by Nivin Pauly. The trailer gives us a taste of a period entertainer, which traces an alternate history of Malayalam cinema. The film revolves around the central friendship between two men, who aspire to make it in Malayalam cinema in the late 80’s and early 90’s and the challenges they face in their respective journeys.

The film will have music by newcomer Amrit Ramnath, while Viswajith Odukkathil cranks the camera. Varshangalkku Shesham is bankrolled and distributed by Visakh Subramaniam for Merryland Cinemas. The film will be released on the big screens on April 11.
