Tamil Cinema is getting all geared up for the cinematic event of the year with Vijay’s upcoming starrer Leo (2023). The gangster drama, co-written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has been one of the most awaited Tamil releases this year. The makers recently dropped a new poster featuring Vijay in white trapped in the snowy hillsides with a deadly hyena. The poster features the actor in a direct face-off with the animal in close distance. The poster was released by the team as an announcement poster for the trailer of the film, which is set to drop on October 5.
Leo is a partial adaptation of History of Violence (2005) directed by David Cronenberg, which dealt with an undercover gang member, who is forced to return to his older violent ways when his cover is blown one fine day. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Babu Anthony, Gautham Menon and Mysskin in the primary cast alongside Vijay. The music and original score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while the camera is cranked by Manoj Paramahamsa. Philomin Raj has edited the film bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio. Leo is all set to release on October 19.
