Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s production house seems to have found that sweet streaming spot between grown-up social dramas (Dahaad, Made In Heaven) and urban young-adult dramedies (The Archies, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Eternally Confused and Eager For Love). It’s an immensely popular and ‘bingeable’ slate of titles, not least because of their penchant for progressive storytelling. The jury is out on the moral high grounds of the voice-overs and gift-wrapped lessons, but having something to say is infinitely better than empty entertainment.
