A long-time collaborator of Excel Entertainment, production designer Suzanne Caplan Merwanji has been a key part of the cool, urbane aesthetic that characterises the works of directors Farhan and Zoya Akhtar. Her range is evident from the way she recreated a Dharavi slum for Gully Boy and the fictional Riverdale where The Archies was set. Caplan Merwanji's inspirations often come from contemporary photography and modern Western art, lending an extra layer of stylishness to the worlds she creates.
