After the events of The Family Man season 1, Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC) senior analyst Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) has given up fieldwork and resigned himself to a desk job. He's trying hard to adjust but it isn't working – a colleague chides him for not participating in office activities and another says he probably has FOMO. Despite Srikant actively working to rebuild his marriage, he struggles to list five things he appreciates about his wife and she later tells him their relationship is a sham. "Kabhi kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki main mooh kholta hoon aur jhadga shuru ho jata hai (Sometimes I feel like we start fighting every time I open my mouth)," he says.

Far from the domestic front, there's word that the ISI has joined forces with rebel groups, of which Raji (Samantha Prabhu) is a part. Tiwari can't stay away from the action for long and moves to Chennai, where there are bombings, firefights and Raji engaging in sleek hand-to-hand combat. Written by Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK and Suman Kumar, The Family Man season 2 has been directed by Raj & DK and Suparn S Varma. It releases on Amazon Prime Video on June 4.
