Actor Sivakarthikeyan launched the trailer of Atlee's production Andhaghaaram, which will release directly on Netflix on the 24th of November this year. A Telugu dubbed version will also release on the same day.

Directed by V Vignarajan, the intriguing trailer barely reveals anything in terms of plot or story. It appears to be a multi-narrative with three strands, all dealing with their own shades of 'andhaghaaram' or darkness. In one case, this is literal because it is about a visually-challenged person. In the other two, their darkness is not as obvious.  In the second case, it appears to be about a person going through depression as he struggles with anger issues, negative thoughts and an inability to control his emotions.

The third story is most difficult to predict even though it leaves the viewer with many thoughts. Accompanied by Pradeep Kumar's haunting music, the trailer is a far cry from the lighter massier stuff the film's producer Atlee is known for. At a time when most films come with trailer that reveal almost everything, here's one that only adds to the intrigue.

A musical teaser of the film was released last week, along with a note describing the film as, "a blind conjurer's struggle for survival, a washed-up cricketer's fight for deliverance and a desolate psychiatrist's quest for reclamation, leading them to a labyrinth of obscurity."

The film stars Vinoth Kishan, Arjun Das, Kumar Natarajan, Meesha Ghoshal and Mahendra Mullath. It's music is by singer-turned-composer Pradeep Kumar, who had earlier worked in films such as Meyadha Maan.
