Makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Ajagajantharam, directed by Tinu Pappachan, have released a trailer for the film today.

The trailer begins with a decorated bus that is ferrying a bunch of performers and devotees to the local temple festival. Just as we get a glimpse of the festivities, a fight breaks out and the next thing we know, the lights at the festival arena are off, probably signifying that this was the end of it. We are introduced to two gangs in the village who seem to be fighting and are plotting to get back at each other constantly. Amidst all this, the people who have come to the festival get stuck within the area as police close it off. Some crashes, blasts and provocative dialogues later, this suggest that the film could be about what ensues with this gang war, how the festival will go on and after all, will the performers get to present their piece?

A song that had released last month, titled 'Ollulleru', is arranged and produced by Justin Varghese, who is also the composer for the film. The music and lyrics are from a traditional dance song borrowed from the Mavila community, who are based in Kerala. The video is placed amidst festival-like scenarios and sets the tone for a party.

This is director Tinu Pappachan's sophomore film after his debut, Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil. It also marks his second collaboration with a few actors – Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose and Kichu Tellus while the film also casts Lukman Lukku, Jaffer Idukki, Arjun Asokan, Vineeth Vishwan and others.

The film is written by Kichu Tellus and Vineeth Vishwam. Jinto George will make his debut as a cinematographer and Shameer Muhammed, who has also worked on Fahadh Faasil's Irul, has been roped in as the editor. The film is produced by Emmanuel Joseph and Ajith Thalapilly under the banner of Silver Bay Studios.

The film is set to release in theaters on December 23.
