It's the battle between the 'bhai of Pune' and the 'bhai of Hindustan' as Salman Khan returns in a cop avatar in the upcoming action thriller film, Antim: The Final Truth.
Set in Maharashtra, a local goon, Rahuliya (Aayush Sharma) has a heated exchange of words with good cop Rajveer Singh (Khan), who dares to hold him in custody. This is the moment the inspector challenges the criminal that he would punish him the moment he finds the right opportunity. This sets off a chase between the cop and the con, with the latter committing crime after crime to rise up the ranks. Singh, at his end, suggests playing the game from the head, calculating every single move as he attempts to collect evidences against Rahuliya's misdeeds. He suggests that whatever the criminal is doing will lead him to the police. At one point, he tells his fellow officer, "Jis din is sardar di hategi, sab di phategi" – with a quintessential bhai tinge.
You imagine that the cop, eventually, does lose it, as the three-minute trailer ends with him reiterating the hook dialogue. The complementing clips go from a war of punchlines to a Dabangg-like fight with the hero and villain displaying their respective six (or eight?) packs to unveil what is the "final truth."
Produced by Salman Khan Films, the film, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar (Vaastav: The Reality, Kaante), is based on the Marathi-language film Mulshi Pattern (2018). It releases theatrically on November 26.
