Since Chiranjeevi made a full-fledged comeback in 2017 with Khaidi No. 150, there has been a talk of the actor starring in at least one film a year. But it took two years for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy to hit theatres and, due to the pandemic, it is taking longer for Acharya (teacher) to see the light of day.
Megastar clarifies in the teaser that he's not a typical teacher. He's rather interested in dishing out moral lessons — maybe, like a moral science teacher. If there's one punch dialogue in a teaser that's just over a minute, imagine the goldmine you'll find once the movie releases. Koratala Siva is definitely gearing up to deliver a lot of messages and chest-thumping lines through his latest action drama.
Moreover, we've only gotten a glimpse of Chiranjeevi in the first teaser. We still need to know about Ram Charan's avatar along with the space that Kajal Aggarwal is going to get in a film that stars the father-son duo. Here's hoping that the narrative won't completely sideline the female lead.
If there's anything really exciting about the making of Acharya, it's the constant chatter about the movie that happens on Chiranjeevi's twitter account. In fact, to announce the arrival of the teaser, Megastar posted a meme. Can the younger stars beat that?
The star's previous film was Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Watch the teaser here:
The film is being produced by the superstar's son Ram Charan along with Niranjan Reddy for Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment.
Ram Charan is said to play a cameo in the film as well. Acharya has music is by Mani Sharma, and National-Award winning cinematographer Tirru is the cinematographer.
The minute-long teaser ends by adding that the film will release in 'theatres this summer'. In the posters, it says that the film will release on May 13.
