Djinn Trailer Talk: Soubin In A ‘Spirited’ Performance As The Djinn?

Soubin not only plays a village simpleton but also a scary Hindi-speaking character and a cool party animal in the teaser

In the mysterious new teaser of Sidharth Bharathan's Djinn, Soubin's character appears to be that of a simpleton whose body is taken over by spirits, one after another. With shades of both a horror and a comedy movie, we see different people taking over Soubin, ranging from a regular everyday man, an angry Hindi-speaking character and a party animal.

Add to this strange and different body language for each character and distinct voice modulation for them, the teaser promises a great acting exercise for the already talented actor. Fresh off the success of Bheeshma Parvam, another intense role might just be what Soubin needs to be able to do a wider variety of roles in the future.
