Aishwarya Rajesh is known for her versatile filmography. After her successful outing in the layered rural thriller Suzhal: The Vortex, she will be next seen in Driver Jamuna.  Aishwarya, who plays the titular role of Jamuna, is a cab driver in the film.

Tracing the struggles woman drivers face on an everyday basis, the trailer also hints at exploring an even bigger problem that puts Jamuna's life at stake. On what looks like an ordinary day in her life, two passengers get on her cab to travel from Walajabad to ECR. But little does she know that they are in fact gangsters from a "Palayamkottai gang" who are on their way to murder someone.

Adding more chaos to the plot, the gangsters mistakenly opt to share the ride and an eccentric music fanatic joins them. In this 90-minute ride, which involves politicians, police, and several gangsters, the film follows Jamuna's misadventures as she races against the clock to escape the murder maze.
