The trailer for the upcoming action drama Kaadan shows Rana Daggubati as a modern-day Tarzan. His character is, of course, not raised by animals, but he seems to grow up in a forest which has several elephants. When he learns that his friends are in danger, he rises to the task of saving them.

As man's greed increases day after day and he begins to eat up all the forests and rivers through encroachment and industrialization, what will remain for the animals? Where will they go and how will they survive? In recent times, many reports have emerged saying that wild animals have stormed into villages and attacked humans. It shouldn't come as a surprise since many forests are disappearing all over the world. This man versus animal conflict appears to be increasing, especially in India, because of capitalism and population explosion.

In the trailer, you can see Daggubati's character creating a ruckus in the courtroom. His anger is understandable, as the forest is not only home to elephants, it's his home, too. The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon, whose 2012 film Kumki reflected the relationship between an elephant and its mahout.

Kaadan also stars Vishnu Vishal, Zoya Hussain, and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The movie is made in three languages – along with the Tamil version, it's also releasing in Hindi as Haathi Mere Saathi and in Telugu as Aranya. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra and it's all set to hit screens on March 26, 2021.
