At one point in Malang's trailer, Aditya Roy Kapur asks Disha Patani, "You tell me, tumhare liye sukoon kya hai?"

She replies, "To live live from one high to another."

Right after this we see shots of the two of them actually getting high. The tone of the film is stated here: metaphors will be made real. It's exciting to see a film rid itself of all pretences so early! Mohit Suri films are unsubtle, there is no need to pretend otherwise.

Malang looks like the story of four murderers- one who kills out of pleasure, one out of necessity, one from whom it is second nature, and one for whom killing is just… fun. The intersection of this blood-lust quartet has a love story (Kapur and Patani) shredded to EDM, neon, diving through soaring skies, and deep-seas.

The title of the film translates to 'vagrant''; it will be interesting to see how wanderlust and bloodlust interact- a Tamasha meets Ek Villain. The soundtrack of the film, always an exciting endeavour with Suri, is deeply awaited; the trailer certainly throbbed.

Apart from Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu.

Directed by Mohit Suri, written by Aseem Arora, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Jay Shewakramani, Malang releases on February 7.
