Dedicated to the frontline workers and those lives lost in the 26/11 massacre, Amazon Prime Video launched the trailer of their upcoming web-series Mumbai Diaries 26/11 against the backdrop of the Gateway Of India. Aaditya Thackeray, the Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment for the Government of Maharashtra was present. Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals, Amazon Prime Video, and directed Nikkhil Advani presented the trailer with their introductory remarks.
Mohit Raina plays Dr. Oberoi at the Bombay General Hospital, a gold medalist and Konkona Sensharma plays Chitra. The trailer introduces them, along with the other doctors and journalists on duty, present on the night of the 26/11 massacre in Mumbai, a night when "na koi so paya, na koi soch paya". On the night of 26/11, the terrorists headed towards Cama Hospital with intent to kill patients, but the hospital staff locked all of the patient wards. The trailer references this. Mumbai Diaries 26/11 also stars Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande, and Prakash Belawadi.
Directed by Nikkhil Advani (Kal Ho Na Ho, D-Day, Batla House) and Nikhil Gonsalves (Hasmukh), created by Nikkhil Advani and Emmay Entertainment, and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani, the show streams on Amazon Prime Video on September 9.
