The trailer of director Chandra Keerthi M's Tootu Madike promises a riot of ideas — the tightly cut video begins with the introduction of historian Mr Kennedy, who happens to get his hands on a rare octo-alloy (an alloy of eight metals often used in religious idols) figurine in the Nandi Hills. But before he can produce it to the archeology department, the idol is smuggled, leading to a chain of events that involves tales of friendship, kidnapping by misfits, and fun romp.

The Kannada film, which is set to be released on July 8, stars Pramod Shetty, Paavana Gowda, Chandra Keerthi M, Giri Shivanna, Ugramm Manju, Shankar Ashwath and Nanda Gopal, among others.

Written by Chandra Keerthi M, ASG and Dollar, the film is lensed by Naveen Challa, and has music by Swamynathan RK.
