A follow-up to the successful police procedural web series Iru Dhuruvam (2019), Season 2 promises to be an intriguing, tense whodunit with former inspector Victor on a mission to hunt down a serial killer who commits killings across the city, and leaves philosophical verses from the Thirukurral on his victims. Very much in line with season 1, the trailer indicates an intense, brooding tale that will have the audience on the edge of their seat, constantly guessing.
The trailer positions Victor (Nandaa) as the only answer to all of the police force’s woes, as he has already solved a case of this nature in the past. There is a clear case of conflict pointed out in the trailer with several of the police officers pointing doubts towards Victor's ability to solve the case. “How can someone who is not part of our department handle the case? Is Victor the only well-trained police officer? What are we then?” are some of the comments passed around by the police department. The heart of the series seems to be a battle of wits between the sturdy, intense Victor and a cocky, narcissistic scheming Lankeshwaran played by actor Prassana. It seems that Lankeshwaran will hold the key to solving the entire case, and the scenes of confrontation between him and Victor will be ones to watch out for in the series. Prassana is in fine form in the trailer, revelling in the double-faced nature of the character. “ Once you decide to extract revenge, ensure its completion. Don’t leave it unfinished. If you do, it's like igniting a small fire,” says Victor.
Helmed by Arun Prakash, and produced by Applause Entertainment the series will stream worldwide on 24th February at SonyLIV.
