Nani, who is known for his boy-next-door roles, will feature in a completely new avatar in his upcoming Dasara. He plays Dharani, a drunkard who is violent and bold when he is inebirated, and innocent and naive otherwise.
The trailer promises a violent saga with a lot of bloodshed. While the trailer doesn't reveal what triggers Dharani, it is understood that he rises to lead an important power struggle. Set in Singareni coal mines, the film's crucial incidents seem to be centred around the Dasara festival, based on which the film is titled.
Santhosh Narayanan's music and the other technical aspects add to the film's rustic outlook. Although it is an action entertainer, the core of the film is the love that childhood sweethearts Dharani and Vennila (Keerthy Suresh) share.
Helmed by debutant Srikanth Odela, the film co-stars Samuthirakani, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sai Kumar. It is slated to hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on March 30.
