The Batman Trailer Talk: A Mysterious Robert Pattinson And A Lot Of Riddles

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is still being filmed and will release in theatres in 2021

Batman (Robert Patinson) begins receiving coded messages in increasingly gruesome ways. First, a letter left next to a man asphyxiated with duct tape around his face and spray painted with: NO MORE LIES. Another strapped to a man whose mouth is taped shut and what appears to be a timer around his wrist. The trailer doesn't reveal The Riddler's (Paul Dano's) face, but we sense his palpable menace. Time for Battinson to investigate.

We get glimpses of Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz) breaking into a house, Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) at crime scenes and an unrecognizable Colin Farrell as The Penguin.

Batman is a little more goth and disheveled than the iterations we've seen before. He glowers, rescues a child from the path of a speeding car and, out for 'vengeance', brutally punches a man.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is still being filmed and will release in theatres (remember those?) in 2021.
