After the massive success of its first major release The Great Indian Kitchen, Neestream, one of the latest OTT platforms, has announced the launch of its second film. Thirike is co-directed by Sam Xavier and actor-writer George Kora (who co-wrote Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela).
In first viewing, the film appears to be a story of two brothers as they navigate a world full of doubts, people and lots of cake! In an important dialogue, the character played by George Kora can be seen shouting at someone for calling his brother a "special child" instead of treating him simply as a normal child. With a lovely song playing in the background by Ankit Menon and visuals by Cheran Paul, the trailer sets the tone for a coming-of-age story unlike any other.
On Valentine's Day, the team of Madhuram released a short teaser of the film covering just one "love at first sight" moment. Starring Joju George and Shruti Ramachandran, the teaser shows us Shruti's character in the kitchen taking a plate of biryani as Joju notices her and flips for her. The rousing background score by Hesham Abdul Wahab makes this minute-long teaser feel so complete and exciting.
The film is being directed by Ahammed Khabeer and shot by Jithin Stanislaus. Though it doesn't reveal a release date, the teaser promises a 'sweet' romance with beautiful music and visuals. Also part of film are Arjun Ashokan and Nikhila Vimal. Apart from playing the lead, Joju George has also produced the film.
