"My master's a good man"
"A good man? He's a rich man!"

The mood is set for a rousing tale of class war, where morality is a luxury, and the rich are nice because they have no reason not to be. A poor Indian driver (Adarsh Gourav) breaks free from the servitude of his rich masters (Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra Jonas), and rises to the top of a ladder that veritably needs a bottom.

Based on Aravind Adiga's 2008 Man Booker Prize-winning novel, this story finds a home in Netflix's spate of book-to-screen adaptations, with Hussain Zaidi's Class of 83, Manu Joseph's Serious Men, and the announcement of Sachin Kundalkar's Cobalt Blue. This is a tale of class war, freedom, and the hyper-globalized world that was supposed to solve historic inequities of caste and class, all of which is brought under the hammer.

Directed by Ramin Bahrani (Fahrenheit 451 for HBO, 99 Homes, At Any Price, Plastic Bad, Goodbye Solo, Chop Shop) starring Adarsh Gourav, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Rajkummar Rao The White Tiger releases in "select theaters" and on streaming come January 2021.
