The trailer begins with a bomb blast, one that is based on true incidents or 'true blasts' as it puts it. The Indian government needs someone to prevent the next blast, and their unanimous choice is Vijay Varma.
Nagarjuna's Vijay Varma, more commonly known as 'Wild Dog', appears to be a fervently patriotic and ruthless NIA officer. We are shown shots of his daredevilry, walking directly into enemy fire. He shoots down people like you pocket carrom coins. He even nonchalantly shoots down a person who dares him to make an arrest. He struts about in Aviators stretching out a pistol flanked by his lieutenants.
As the trailer puts it, the Wild Dog is 'ferocious.' He's probably more stylish than ferocious, though, but the trailer with its quick cuts shows Vijay Varma busying himself with some solid shot practice. Who is he shooting? Religious fundamentalists it looks like (a religious preacher is mentioned too), and — no prize for guessing — Pakistan appears to be definitely involved. Also, it look like he is searching for a specific person, and not a group.
He might be a wild dog as far as protecting the nation is concerned, but he seems like a 'regular' husband (his wife is played by Dia Mirza) and father at home.
The trailer promises a high octane action film with the usual jingoism around terrorists and outsiders. Wild Dog is directed by Ahishor Solomon and produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy.
