Ahead of its release on August 10, the makers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer have released the album’s fourth single. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song, titled 'Rathamaarey' is a soulful number showing the bonding between the protagonist Muthuvel Pandian, his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. The vocals for the song have been provided by Vishal Mishra, who predominantly works in the Hindi film industry. The lyrics are written by Vignesh Sivan.
The song was also accompanied by a lyrical video, which also included footage of the music video. It features Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, and Vasanth Ravi in prominent roles. Various moments between the characters are shown, soft moments of bonding between the family members. While the promos and trailer of the film have promised a high-ocate actioner laced with Nelson's deadpan humour, the song also hints at an emotional core. The other three singles released from the album, including the viral ‘Kaavala’, have all been either dance numbers or introduction songs.
Jailer is written and directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film also stars Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Tamannah, Yogi Babu, Sunil, Vinayakan, and Mohanlal in a cameo appearance. The technical crew consists of Anirudh Ravichander on music with Vijay Karthik Kannan and R Nirmal handling the cinematography and editing respectively. The film is all set to release on August 10.
