Bumblebee tops this chart solely for the heartwarming relationship between Bumblebee and Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld). It's also directed by Travis Knight and not Michael Bay, which works in its favour.
The movie that started it all, Transformers is the safest bet out of all the films in the franchise directed by Michael Bay. It cements the relationship between Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox, which ultimately become of the few highlights in the film series.
With a thrilling showdown in the climax, Dark of Moon fares much better than most of the other films in the franchise. If you had to begin with a Transformer film and don't really care about the chronological order, we would suggest this one.
While the film packs good action, it still has strains of awkward editing and humour, making it a puzzling watch in a lot of places.
The film introduces great ideas (like Optimus Prime moving to the dark side) but does not see them to their what could have been fabulous ends. The only redeeming quality of The Last Knight is Anthony Hopkins as an eccentric man.
If the intense sexualization of female characters wasn't enough, Age of Extinction also has bad writing, often taking away the best element of these machines: Their humanity.
