Mohra (1994)

This action thriller was the first of many films that Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal would go on to make together. Shetty plays a man who desperately seeks revenge against the men who violated his sister-in-law. Mohra was a major commercial success, and its soundtrack was one of the best-selling albums that year.

Border (1997)

This critically acclaimed war film is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971. Suniel Shetty plays the patriotic commander of India’s Border Security Force, and is part of an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff and Akshaye Khanna. 

Hera Pheri (2000)

This cult classic starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal is widely regarded as one of the best Hindi comedy films of all time. Shetty plays the long-suffering Shyam, who acts as a foil to his eccentric friends. The film spawned a sequel called Phir Hera Pheri, with another sequel currently in the works.

Main Hoon Na (2004)

Suniel Shetty plays the menacing yet oddly charming baddie in Farah Khan’s directorial debut starring Shah Rukh Khan. Shetty’s character is Raghavan, a rogue Indian soldier who has misplaced notions of revenge and patriotism. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Villain for his role in the film.

De Dana Dan (2009)

This Priyadarshan film is a hilarious comedy about mistaken identities and the chaos that ensues at a luxury hotel. Featuring an ensemble cast, De Dana Dan stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty as best friends who are willing to do anything to marry the women they love.
