Angrezi Medium Trailer Talk: The Return Of Irrfan Khan

The trailer for the much-awaited Angrezi Medium starring Irrfan Khan is here.

The film sees the return of celebrated actor after a long sabbatical due to illness. A follow-up to 2017's Hindi Medium, this film appears to be a fresh story and not a sequel. While that film was about a Delhi family fighting a class battle to get their child into the best English medium school, here it's about a college student (Radhika Madan) who dreams of going to University in the UK, leaving her middle-class father (Irrfan Khan) to go to any lengths to pay the exorbitant fees or find a shortcut. Even if it means flying to the UK and trying to become a British citizen.

The charming trailer gives us glimpses of an exciting wider cast, from the same beloved actors from the earlier instalment like Deepak Dobriyal and Tillotama Shome, to new faces in Ranvir Shorey, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Tripathi among others. From director Homi Adajania (Finding Fanny, Cocktail), and writers Bhavesh Mandalia, Gaurav Shukla, Vinay Chhawall, Sara Bodinar, Angrezi Medium is produced by Maddock Films (Bala, Stree, Hindi Medium) which has been on something of a winning streak of late.
