A young Indian Kashmiri girl is married into a Pakistani military family to collect information as the 1971 Indo-Pak war becomes more and more imminent. An adaptation of Harinder Sikka's 2008 novel Calling Sehmat, director Meghna Gulzar's film, that she co-wrote with Bhavani Iyer, won praise for its sensitive portrayal of patriotism. Raazi does not paint either side with broad strokes, giving us a deeply human story about the toll that war can inflict on the lives of people who risk everything out of love for their country.
Starring Alia Bhatt as the protagonist Sehmat, Raazi became one of the most critically acclaimed films of this year. It also earned more than 200 crores worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films to feature a female protagonist.
The film, also starring Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapoor, Shishir Sharma and Jaideep Ahlawat, released on May 11, 2018. You can now read the script of Raazi by clicking the button below.
