Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Mukundan Unni Associates gets a second part (Malayalam)

Vineeth Sreenivasan starrer Mukundan Unni Associates have been receiving a lot of positive reviews since its release. The actor went on Instagram live and announced that the film will get a sequel which will go on floors in 2024. Mukundan Unni Associates marked the directorial debut of Abhinav Sunder Nayak and it also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tanvi Ram, and Jagadeesh in important roles.


Dhanush's Vaathi/Sir gets postponed (Tamil-Telugu)

Dhanush’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie Vaathi/Sir is slated to hit screens on February 17, 2023. The movie was supposed to release on Dec 2nd but the date has been now pushed. The makers of the film announced the updated release date on their social media. 

Helmed by Venky Atluri, the film is set in the 90s, and Dhanush essays the role of a school teacher. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead and the movie co-stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, and Samuthirakani in prominent roles. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music for the film and J Yuvraj has handled the cinematography.  

First look of Shivarajkumar from Jailer out (Tamil)

Kannada actor Shivarajkumar is playing a pivotal role in Rajinikanth's Jailer. The makers of the film shared the first look of the actor from the sets. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer marks Rajinikanth's 169th film. Set in the backdrop of a jail, Rajinikanth plays the titular character. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures, the film also stars Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Vinayakan. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose music for the film. 

First Trailer of Vishwak Sen's Das Ka Dhamki is out (Telugu)

Das Ka Dhamki is an action entertainer romcom. The trailer is filled with a mix of action, romance, music, and comedy, promising a complete entertainer. Directed by Vishwak Sen, the film stars Vishwaksen, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, and Tarun Bhascker. 

The film is produced by Karate Raju under the banner Vanmaye Creations and Vishwaksen Cinemas. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi in February 2023. Bulgarian stunt master Tador Lazarov-Juji choreographed the final fight sequence in the film. Dinesh K Babu is the cinematographer, Anwar Ali is the editor and Leon James is the music composer. 

Unni Mukundan starrer Shefeekkinte Santhosham teaser out (Malayalam)

Unni Mukundan’s Shefeekkinte Santhosham is a light-hearted entertainer. The teaser of the film opens with a prayer meeting, it gives a glimpse into Shefeek’s life where he is seen participating in the prayer with his family and relatives. The film is slated to release on November 25. 

Written and directed by Anup Pandalam, the film co-stars Manoj K Jayan, Bala, and Divya Pilla. Shefeekkinte Santhosham is produced by Unni Mukundan Films Pvt Ltd. While Shaan Rahman has composed the music, Ranjin Raj has done the background score. Noufal Abdullah is the editor and Eldho Isac is the DOP. 

Louis feat. Indrans gets a trailer (Malayalam

The trailer of Louis starring Indrans depicts a ride of suspense and mystery. The film is slated to hit the screens on November 25. It is directed by Shabu Usman and written by Manu Gopal. Louis is produced by Titty Abraham under the banner Kotupalli Movies Productions.

It also stars Manoj K Jayan, Saikumar, and Joy Mathew in prominent roles. Manu Manjit has penned the lyrics for Jazzy Gift and Rajeevshiva has composed the music. Naufal Abdullah is the editor and Anand Krishna is the cinematographer. 

Jude Anthany Joseph’s 2018 - Everyone is a Hero wraps up (Malayalam)

Based on the 2018 Kerala floods, the film has an ensemble cast including Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, and Aparna Balamurali. Billed as a survival thriller, the film brings together the stories of several people with nine main stories and other parallel stories. On November 13, the team completed the shoot and the director confirmed the same on his social media. 

Priyamani's Dr 56 gets a release date (Telugu)

Dr 56 is a crime thriller directed by Rajesh Ananda Leela and is slated to release on December 9. The makers announced the film's release date through an intriguing motion poster featuring Priyamani, who will be playing the role of a CBI. 

Dr 56 is written by Praveen. Nobin Paul has scored the music for the film while J Lakshman has penned the lyrics. The editing has been handled by Vishwa N M and Rakesh C Thilak has lensed the film. 

Raj B Shetty’s Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye wraps up (Kannada)

Ondu Motteya Kathe (2017) and Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (2021) fame Raj B Shetty has wrapped the shooting for his upcoming film. Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye was shot in Ooty and Mysuru and the entire shoot was completed in a single schedule of 18 days. The film stars Siri Ravikumar in the lead role. Midhun Mukundan is the music composer and Praveen Shriyan is the cinematographer.

Komal and Murali team up for Namo Bhootatma 2 (Kannada)


Choreographer Murali made his directorial debut with Namo Bhootatma (2014) and will reunite with actor Komal for Namo Bhootatma 2. Billed as a horror comedy, the film will be a sequel to Namo Bhootatma and will also mark the third directorial venture for the choreographer. Lekha Chandra will play the female lead. Arun Andrews will compose the music and Halesh S will handle the cinematography.

Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Anusree team up for Kallanum Bhagavathiyum (Malayalam)

Directed by East Coast Vijayan, Kallanum Bhagavathiyum stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Anusree in lead roles. The title poster of the film was shared by actor Kunchacko Boban on his Facebook handle. The title poster looks like a page from a cartoon or comic with fun lighthearted vibe. Written by KV Anil, the film also stars Salim Kumar, Johny Antony, and Rajesh Madhavan. While Ratheesh Ram will handle the cinematography, John Kutty will edit the film and Joseph fame Ranjin Raj will compose the music for the film. 

Ranjith Sankar's 4 Years releases on November 25 (Malayalam)

4 years is a college romance that follows Gayathri and Vishal, their journey of falling in love, and how their relationship goes through a rough phase. Written and directed by Ranjith Sankar, the film stars Sarjano Khalid and Priya Prakash Varrier in the lead roles. It is produced by Dreams N Beyond. Salu K Thomas has handled the cinematography, Sangeeth Prathap has edited the film and Shankar Sharma has composed the music for the film.
