695 (Hindi)

A drama chronicling the long-standing Ram Mandhir conflict, this iteration combines courtroom drama and documentary modes of storytelling to present the events through a particular perspective. Directed by Rajneesh Berry, the film features Arun Govil, Mukesh Tiwari and Manoj Doshi.

Dashmi (Hindi)

A vigilante thriller about the themes of good triumphing over evil, this film follows a five-member gang who role-play as the mythical figures from Ramayana to seek justice. The film starring Vardhan Puri, Gaurav Sareen, Aadil Khan and Monica Chaudhary is directed by Shantanu Anant Tambe.

Main Atal Hoon (Hindi)

Latest to a string of biopics on the life and times of famous Indian politicians from the past, this iteration of our former prime minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life, delves deep into his psychology and personality in his years of active politics. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi playing the posthumous politician. It is directed by Ravi Jadhav and also features Benedict Garrett, Harshal Gire and Madhu Singh.

Mayavanam (Malayalam)

An adventure film set in the forest, Mayavanam is about a hiking trip undertaken by four medical students which leads to unexpected revelations. The film starring Alencier Ley Lopez, Jaffer Idukki, Adithya Sai, Sudhi Koppa and Senthil Krishna is directed by Jagathlal Chandrashekara.

Pinnil Oral (Malayalam)

A romantic drama about an orphan, who falls in love with an outsider, Pinnil Oral deals with the repercussions and problems that the two face from the world in uniting. The film directed by Satheesh Ananthapuri features Salmanul Faris, Aaradhya Sai, I M Vijayan and Azeez Nedumangad.

Vivekanandan Viralanu (Malayalam)

This new offering from legendary director Kamal is a comedy about the perils of excessive social media fame and explores the dual life of a seemingly normal person, which is upended when he becomes famous for all the wrong reasons. The film features Shine Tom Chacko, Swasika, Grace Anthony, Johnny Anthony and Mareena Michael Kurisingal.

Itta Kitta (Gujarathi)

A couple who have no children decide to adopt two little girls to make sense of their life. However, things get complicated when the seven and thirteen-year-old girls start to have major issues in their lives. This comedy directed by Manthan Purohit stars Manasi Parekh, Raunaq Kamdar, Alpana Buch and Jia Vaidya.

The Beekeeper (English)

A John Wick-styled action extravaganza starring Jason Statham as the titular ‘Beekeeper’, who ensues on a vengeful journey after years of dormancy from his past life. The film directed by David Ayer also features Josh Hutcherson, Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Phylicia Rashad.

Anyone But You (English)

A callback to a breezier kind of romantic comedy that hinged on the insane on-screen chemistry of its leads, this Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell starrer deals with a couple whose initial curiosity in each other, gives way to an unfounded sense of boredom. This film is directed by Will Gluck.

Night Swim (English)

A supernatural thriller about a former major league baseball player — forced into premature retirement — who spends his time renovating his new home with his family, only to find clues of paranormal presence. The horror film directed by debutant Bryce McGuire features Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon and Amélie Hoeferle.

Rangasamudra (Kannada)

A story set within the Karnataka - Maharashtra borders deals with the humiliation faced by a local folk artist at the hands of a wealthy egotistical man which fuels a rivalry of egos. The film directed by Rajkumar Aski features Rangayana Raghu, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Sampath Raj and Ugram Manju.

Barbarika (Kannada)

A crime procedural that follows the hero investigating a series of seemingly connected murders, which appears to be a part of “supari killing", a kind of paid assassination network orchestrated by someone in power. Starring Skanda Ashok, Sirri Raju and BM Venkatesh, the film is directed by Shandilya.

Hubba (Bengali)

The paths of a notorious gangster and a police officer get tangled when the latter arrests the former. Their roles get reversed after the gangster gets away scot-free. The film directed by Bratya Basu features Indranil Sengupta and Loknath Dey.

Dasam (Odia)  

When: January 18  

This coming-of-age drama set within a closely knit village is about a group of friends who discover life, friendship and heartbreaks together during their time in school. The film directed by Raja Dash features Akash Hota, Sailendra Samantray, Jyoti Ranjan Rout, Suman Pattnaik and Nilakhi Patra.
