Vintage Vijay Sethupathi in a Murder Mystery, Idam Porul Yaeval (Tamil) 

Set in the mountains, Pandi (Vijay Sethupathi) and Aasathambi (Vishnu Vishal) are two strangers, whose lives intertwine. The film follows their love lives, quest for money and how they get entangled in a murder and the politics around it. The Yuvanshankar Raja musical co-stars Nandhita and Aishwarya Rajesh.

Vijay's Varisu and Ajith's Thunivu to clash on Pongal 2023 (Tamil)

Eight years after Jilla and Veeram clashed at the box office in 2014, screen icons Vijay and Ajith's films Varisu and Thunivu are set to clash on Pongal 2023. Boney Kapoor, producer of Thunivu officially released the announcement of the film’s release on his social media, confirming the clash of the big releases.

The Great Indian Kitchen gets a Tamil Remake Starring Aishwarya Rajesh (Tamil)

The film follows the story of a newly married woman. Though she is a dancer by profession, she is restricted to a cramped kitchen space, serving her husband and her father-in-law. Her in-laws force her to work continuously at home and do not allow her to find a job. The Great Indian Kitchen portrays the struggles faced by many women in Indian households.

 R Kannan of Settai (2013) fame has helmed the film and Jerry Silvester Vincent has composed the music. The Great Indian Kitchen also stars Yogi Babu, Kalairani, and Poster Nandakumar.

Samantha battles a surrogacy scam in Yashoda (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi)

Slated to hit the theatres on November 11, Yashoda stars Samantha as a surrogate mother. We are introduced to a medical agency that hires women as surrogate mothers and pay them a king's ransom in exchange. "The baby you are carrying will go to the home of a billionaire," Varalakshmi Sarathkumar tells Yashoda in the trailer. Yashoda also falls in love with a doctor while she is in the institution. But things aren't that rosy as they sound, as Yashoda soon finds out that she is stuck as part of a larger scam. The film has been helmed by Hari and Harish.

Trailer of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Mukundan Unni Associates out (Malayalam)

When advocate Mukundan Unni does not get enough cases even after working hard and consistently for years, Unni decides to change his ways, but with wicked plans. He starts to create and hide evidences for cases and schemes to make his way up the ladder, but this is depicted comically. 

Directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, this comedy entertainer is slated to hit the theatres on November 11. It co-stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sudhi Koppa, Tanivi Ram, and Jagadessh.

Amala Paul’s Teacher gets a release date (Malayalam)

Helmed by Athiran fame, Vivek, Teacher marks the comeback of Amala Paul to the Malayalam industry after 5 years. On the occasion of the actress’ birthday, the makers revealed the release date. Billed as a suspense thriller, Teacher is slated to hit the screens on December 2, 2022. 

The film co-stars Manju Pillai, Chemban Vinod Jose, Hakeem Shajahan, Prashanth Murali, Nandu, Hareesh Pengan, Anumol, Mala Parvathy, and Vineetha Koshy

Driver Jamuna starring Aishwarya Rajesh gets a release date (Tamil)

Billed as a thriller, the film follows a cab driver, Jamuna who gets entangled in a problem when a gang that plans to murder a politician board her car. The film is slated to release in theatres on November 11. Directed by Kinslin, it co-stars Aadukalam Naren, Kavitha Bharathi, and Abhishek Kumar. The film has music by Ghibran.

Chathuram trailer feat. Roshan Mathew (Malayalam)

The trailer opens with a woman being told the things her husband disapproves of and gives us a glimpse into her life. Even though the trailer doesn’t reveal much, it draws one into the mysterious world of Chathuram.

Directed by Sidharth Bharathan and written by Sidharth Bharathan and Vinoy Thomas. The film stars Swasika Vijay, Roshan Mathew, Alencier Lay Lopez, Santhy Balachandran, Leona Lishoy, Jaffar Edukki, Nishanth Sagar , and Gilu Joseph.

Sreenath Bhasi starrer Padachone Ingalu Katholi gets a teaser (Malayalam)

Bijith Bala’s Padachone Ingalu Katholi promises to be a full on entertainer. The teaser captures one’s attention by giving us a glimpse of the happenings in a voting booth during the election. 

Helmed by Bijith Bala, the film is written by Pradeep Kumar Kavumthara. The film stars Sreenath Bhasi, Grace Antony, Ann Sheetal, and Hareesh Kanaran. It is produced by Josekutty Madathil and Ranjith Manambarakkat.

Trailer of Sony Liv show Kaiyum Kalavum out (Tamil)

Billed as a multi-genre narrative, Kaiyum Kalavum follows the lives of two individuals whose paths cross under unique circumstances. The series stars Sanchana Natrajan, Rohit Nandakumar, Madonna Sebastian, Senthil, Karu Pazhaniappan, Ramya Nambeesan, Chaams, Vivek Prasanna, and Vijay Adhiraj in prominent roles. 

Written and directed by Roju, Kaiyum Kalavum will be streaming on Sony Liv from November 4

Hosa Dinachari to be released on December 9 (Kannada)

Written and directed by Keerthi Shekhar and Vyshak Pushpalatha, Hosa Dinachari or New Routine is a story about love and what it feels like to be separated from loved ones. There are four parallel stories and the film explores love stories from various age groups. The makers have announced that the film will be released on December 9. 

Trailer of Shreyas Manju and Reeshma Nanaiah starrer Raana out (Kannada)

Billed as an action entertainer, Raana is slated to be released on November 11. The trailer of the film was launched in an event by actor Dhruva Sarja. Helmed by R. .Nanda Kishore, Raana also stars Rajini Bharadwaj, Raghu, and Mohan Dhanraj in prominent roles.

Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming film titled Thangalaan (Tamil)

Pa. Ranjith and Vikram will be collaborating for the first time for the period film Thangalaan. The title announcement video gives us a brief look into the world of the film. Written and directed by Pa Ranjith, the film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai. Produced by K E Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the film has music by G V Prakash Kumar. While Selva R K has handled the editing, A Kishor Kumar is the DOP. 

Adrishyam Motion Poster out (Malayalam)

Directed By Zac Harriss, the film stars Joju George, Narain, and Sharafudheen in lead roles. The poster reveals the looks of its lead characters.

18 Pages feat. Anupama Parameswaran Teaser out (Telugu)

Palnati Surya Pratap directorial 18 Pages is a romantic entertainer. Written by Sukumar, the film stars Anupama Parameswaran and Nikhil Siddharth in lead roles. The film is slated to be released on December 23.
