In season 1 of the darkly comic Amazon Prime Video show Pushpavalli, Sumukhi Suresh, playing the titular character, falls in love with a man she befriends at a food convention, only to be cruelly rebuffed after a series of behaviours best described as 'stalkery'. Season 2 ups the stakes. Pushpavalli is engaged, but even a fiance can't help her move past the sting of rejection. Written by Suresh, Ayesha Nair, Sumaira Shaikh, Kumar Shivam and Naveen Richard, the show is directed by Debbie Rao.
