Six years after their collaboration Ugramm set the box office on fire, actor Srii Murali and director Prashanth Neel join hands again, for Bagheera. This time, Neel stops with writing the film, which is to be directed by Suri. No, not the Suri who churned out hits like Duniya and Tagaru, but a namesake. Though Ugramm wasn't as big as Yash-starrer KGF, it made everybody in the Kannada film industry sit up and take notice.

On the occasion of Srii Murali's birthday, the first look poster for Bagheera, featuring the actor in an angry avatar, has been released. The 'Roaring Star' might step into the shoes of a tough cop for this action drama.

It looks like Neel does not want to give up on the thrill of penning action stories. Right from his directorial debut to the one he's working on now, they have all been action thrillers.

Though the title might remind film geeks of Black Panther from The Jungle Book, another recent story may have caught the attention of the team — a few pictures of a black leopard captured in the forests of Karnataka earlier this year. People immediately started calling the wild animal Bagheera! There may be an altogether different reason for the movie's name. But, today, it's just the tagline that matters — When society becomes a jungle… and only one predator roars for justice.
