Bharat Teaser Talk: Bhai Is Back
There's something about the trailer of a Salman Khan film. Regardless of where you stand on the spectrum of fan to 'Oh-My-God-Not-Another-One' – there's something about the teasers to his films which are so bursting with swag and scale that you can't help but feel some degree of excitement.
A teaser of his much-awaited Bharat has now been released online. Guided by booming voiceover from the main man himself, the 86-second teaser shows but flashes of the film (quite literally flashes, the earlier portions feel like they've been cut by someone who blinks Way too much).
We see him in various avatars and professions across different ages from young boy to Navy officer to coal miner to old man. All of which is centred on a customary swagged-up sequence which sees Bhai do an Evel Knievel-style motorbike stunt through fire while dressed as Elvis. Do with that what you will.
Aptly titled Bharat, the story is said to follow the journey of a man from birth to death, who's life matches up with key events from the history of India. Bharat marks Salman's third collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar after the competent Sultan and passable Tiger Zinda Hai. Perhaps what's most curious is this is the duo's first film which isn't backed by Yash Rash Films.
