Prem Dhawan, D.N. Madhok and Kaif Irfani penned this Anil Biswas classic that came out in 1951. By the time, Lata Mangeshkar was already a force to be reckoned with and Biswas – one of the earliest composers to use Lata's voice extensively in his soundtracks, one she reportedly even considers among her mentors – featured the singer in 8 of the film's 9 songs. The only track that did not have her was a poignant solo act by Talat Mahmood, another of the composer's mentees and one of Dilip Kumar's default voices during the period.
Best Song of Tarana: Written by D N Madhok, Beimaan Tore Nainwa had a beautiful, nuanced tune that was delivered with absolute flawlessness by Lata. Bringing her expressiveness to life in the movie was the gorgeous Madhubala.
On a related note: For the Talat-Lata duet Seene Mein Sulagte Hai, the composer drew inspiration from one of his earlier compositions, Ghar Yahaan Basaane Se from the 1948 movie Gajre.
