Cobra Teaser: How Many Vikrams Are Too Many Vikrams?

The best thing about 'Chiyaan' Vikram is that he's always ready to experiment. But that comes with a huge caveat! Many filmmakers, in order to make him play eccentric roles, come up with ridiculous plotlines. This has happened in the past. And it won't be a surprise if it happens in the future, as well. However, Cobra, the latest Vikram starrer, looks fabulous.

The actor plays a mathematician in the thriller, directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu, who's known for the quirky Demonte Colony and the tiresome Imaikkaa Nodigal.

In what appears to be a Dasavathaaram-esque feature, Vikram (as Cobra) travels around the world in different avatars. At many points in the teaser released today, he looks happy to be in front of the camera in different skins. It's understandable, since he has enjoyed that side of his creative-calling. Whether it's the spine-chilling Anniyan, or the lacklustre Kanthaswamy, his efforts to bring something new to the screen in terms of portraying various characters have always been first-class.

The teaser starts with the voice-over, "Every problem has a mathematical solution." Ah, well, we're not sure if all engineering students will agree with that. Nevertheless, it's a great way to generate hype for the movie. The actor will be joined by Moothon heartthrob Roshan Mathew, cricketer Irfan Pathan, who won't bowl anybody out this time, the inimitable Robo Shankar, and KGF leading lady Srinidhi Shetty. It's an action packed house for now, but we don't know when the movie will hit theatres, as the release date hasn't been attached to the teaser. With music by AR Rahman, the film is expected to be a feast for the ears.
