FC Trailer Talk: Golmaal Again

After a break of 7 years, director Rohit Shetty returns with Golmaal Again, the fourth instalment of his hugely popular action-comedy series. The film features the usual suspects – Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu and Tusshar Kapoor, amongst others. Two interesting additions to the large ensemble of 18 actors are actresses Tabu and Parineeti Chopra. 

Golmaal Again has been written by Sajid-Farhad and Yunus Sajawal. This time around, the comic situations all revolve around a haunted house and ghost in a white sari. The trailer shows that Shetty has unabashedly stayed true to the franchise's tradition of loud, slapstick humour. The tagline quite aptly declares – Iss Diwali, Logic Nahi, Sirf Magic! Shetty's last release Dilwale (2015), with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, underperformed at the box office. 

Speaking about reviving the franchise, the director said at the press conference, "It took us a lot of time to crack the script, which is why it took us 7 years. We don't want to cheat the audience with a bad film just because it's a franchise." 

Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Golmaal Again releases on October 20 along with Aamir Khan's home production Secret Superstar.
